The Space Between Who You Were and Who You're Becoming

Hello Friends,
Have you ever wondered what happens inside a cocoon?
Most of us know the ending of the story. The caterpillar becomes a butterfly. We admire the beauty of the transformation, but we rarely think about what happens in the middle.
Inside the cocoon, the caterpillar doesn't simply grow wings. It actually dissolves. The old form breaks down before something new can emerge. If you could peek inside during the process, it wouldn't look beautiful. It would look messy. Uncertain. Uncomfortable.
And isn't that often how growth feels in our own lives?
Several years ago, I found myself in a season that felt a lot like that cocoon.
I had owned a salon for nearly seven years and spent over two decades behind the chair. From the outside, everything looked successful. But inside, something was shifting. The work I had loved for so many years no longer felt fully aligned with who I was becoming.
The challenging part was that I couldn't clearly see what was next.
I knew I was being called toward something different, but the path ahead wasn't obvious. There were moments of excitement, but there was also uncertainty, self-doubt, and plenty of questions. Looking back now, I realize I wasn't lost. I wasn't making a mistake. I was evolving.
Growth rarely feels as graceful as it looks from the outside.
Sometimes it feels like questioning old habits, old priorities, old relationships, or even old versions of yourself. What once felt familiar no longer fits, and what comes next hasn't fully revealed itself yet.
If you've been feeling a little "off" lately, I want to offer a gentle reframe:
What if you're not falling apart?

What if you're evolving?
Growth often asks us to release what no longer serves us before we can fully step into what's next.
So this week, I'd like to invite you to get curious:
Where are you evolving?
If you're feeling called to slow down, reconnect with what matters most, and move into the second half of the year with greater clarity and purpose, I'd love to invite you to my FREE workshop:

A Father's Day Reflection
With Father's Day approaching, I've been thinking about how growth impacts our relationships.
One of the greatest gifts we can give the people we love isn't perfection.
It's presence.
This week, consider:
Who needs more of my presence?
Is there someone I need to thank, forgive, or reconnect with?
How do I want the people I love to experience me?

Whether you're feeling stuck, stretched, or simply ready for a reset, this workshop will help you reconnect with what matters most and create a clearer path forward.
P.S. If you've been feeling "off," disconnected, or unsure of what's next, you're not alone. Sometimes those feelings aren't signs that something is wrong—they're signs that something new is emerging. Join me on June 24 and let's explore it together.
With gratitude,
